Dandelion Seedhead

Updated: Jan 16

Taraxacum officinale

It reminds me of infinite possibilities. This one was in my backyard.

This one was in Spain.

I love dandelions. They have a terrible reputation, but they are actually quite remarkable. Many wildlife and insects feed on them. They are entirely edible to humans as well, and used in traditional medicines. Dandelion farms are a thing, of course, they have to supply a healthy market for dandelion products - vitamins, teas and such.

This one was in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State.
